GardenSK8 campers refurbished and are donating skateboards to kids that will be attending this year’s Newark Music Festival. Jon Lodge of Certified Skateboards is running the skateboarding at the Festival this year. Each year the kids in attendance has grown exponentially. Newark has a new skatepark and with the help of companies like Certified some kids will have the opportunity to try the sport for the first time. GardenSK8′s campers want to help these kids continue their experience beyond the festival by providing them a skateboard that they can keep. Each of the skateboards was hands assembled by a camper. All of the skateboards received new components as well as a special message from one skater to another.

Our goal is to increase the amount of donated skateboards as well as provide protective equipment.
