Skateboard Camp Frequently Asked Questions –

Q: Who can attend skateboard camp?:

A: Anybody between the ages of 8-16

Q: Is skateboarding safe?:

A: It is as safe as any other sport out there. When taught by a professional in a controlled environment – this is the safest way to improve the learning curve. All campers are required to wear helmets at all times. Rental pads are free to use for all campers. Helmets and our rental boards can also be used for free during the entire time at camp.

Q: Is the skatepark safe?:

A: Yes! We’ve earned a reputation of a safe skateboarding facility. We have a zero tolerance policy for anything but skateboarding to be happening on our property. We have experienced instructors that follow a curriculum, each instructor assesses each camper’s skill level and nobody is forced to try tricks that are out of their personal range.

Q: How does this camp actually work?:

A: All of the campers are split up into groups according to their age, size, and experience level with skateboarding. Then each group is assigned a different instructor depending on group size. Each group will spend time a certain amount of time in all areas of the skatepark; whatever is in conjunction with each their skill level. Our camper to instructor ratio is in the range of: 7 – 1.

Q: Do you provide lunch?:

A: Yes, each day we mix it up between pizza, deli sandwiches and chicken fingers. We now have an amazing frozen food vending which vends hamburgers, chicken sandwiches and ice cream that is available to the campers anytime.

Q: Can campers bring their own lunch?

A: Yes of course!

Q: How do I get the tax deduction for taking a camp?:

A: We will issue you a receipt that has the camp information and our tax ID#. Then all you need to do is put down the amount of money that you spent on camp on your tax return under the ‘Child Daycare’ section.
